Rhodopes: Under Changing Skies

A quieter series from the Rhodope Mountains, shaped by fog, heavy clouds and subdued light. Mist settles over Smolyan, approaching storms darken the ridges around Pamporovo, and distant layers of forest and rock gradually disappear beneath the changing sky. From wide mountain views to quieter evening scenes above Devin, the photographs are connected by weather rather than place — moments when the mountains reveal themselves without the warmth of direct sunlight.

Iceland: Under Northern Skies

A series shaped by Iceland’s quieter light — low clouds, muted colours and the cool tones of the North Atlantic. Mountains, waterfalls, black beaches and fragments of Reykjavík appear beneath the same restless sky, connecting places that are otherwise very different. Rather than following a route, these photographs are brought together by atmosphere: subdued light, open space and the distinctive stillness of Iceland beneath its northern skies.

Beneath the Night Sky

A series devoted to the landscape after darkness falls. The Milky Way rises above rocky coasts, reservoirs, fields and monuments, while meteors and star trails reveal movements that are easy to miss with the naked eye. Made in different parts of Bulgaria and under different night skies, the photographs are connected by the relationship between the land below and the vast space above it.

Madeira: Between Mist and Light

A series shaped by Madeira’s constantly changing weather and light. Dense fog moves through the ancient laurel forest of Fanal, clouds wrap around the mountain ridges, and the Atlantic meets dark volcanic cliffs along the coast. From quiet, muted scenes to the first light reaching the ocean, the photographs follow the transitions that can completely change the character of the island within a short time.

Black Sea: First Light

A series from the Bulgarian Black Sea coast photographed around the first light of day. Quiet bays, rocky shores and coastal towns appear in the short transition between darkness and morning, when the sea reflects both the cool tones before sunrise and the first warmer light above the horizon. Made at different places along the coast, the photographs are connected by the same changing moment — when familiar landscapes briefly take on a different character.

Tuscany: Roads and Light

A series from the Tuscan countryside, built around the roads, cypress trees and cultivated hills that shape the landscape. The photographs move from the first light near San Quirico d’Orcia and the Vitaleta Chapel, through the ordered cypress avenue of Poggio Covili, to the sunset over Baccoleno. Repeating lines, changing light and the gentle structure of the land connect the five photographs into a single view of rural Tuscany.

Rhodopes: Water and Reflections

A series from the Rhodope Mountains built around water in both motion and stillness. It moves from the waterfalls of the Canyon of Waterfalls and Samodivsko Praskalo to the quiet surfaces of Lagera, Milushevski Dol and Saldzha lakes, before opening towards the broad curves of Vacha Reservoir. Flowing water, reflections, dark rock and forested slopes connect the ten photographs into one wider portrait of the Rhodopes.

Rhodopes: Golden Light

A series from across the Rhodope Mountains shaped by the warm light at the beginning and end of the day. Sunrise reaches the ridges above Smolyan, autumn colour reflects beneath Devil’s Bridge, and evening light settles over Gela, Trigrad, Devin and the winding Arda River. Different places and seasons are brought together by the same brief transition, when low sunlight changes the contours, colours and depth of the mountain landscape.

Iceland: When the Light Breaks Through

Iceland can change completely when light finds its way through the weather. This series brings together those brief moments when sunlight reaches the landscape — catching the spray of a waterfall, breaking beneath heavy clouds or adding warmth to the coast and mountains. The photographs are connected not by a single place, but by the changing light and the way it transforms an otherwise austere northern landscape.
