About this photograph

From the air, Alepu becomes a composition of four clear elements — sea, sand, road and wetland. The coastal road runs like a narrow dividing line through the frame, with the open Black Sea on one side and reeds, shallow pools and wooded hills on the other. A few cars and campers along the shore give the landscape a human scale.
