About this photograph

The mouth of the Veleka River stretches behind a long sandy beach before opening into the Black Sea near Sinemorets. Seen from above the rocky coast, the dark river, pale sand and deep blue sea form three distinct lines across the landscape. Dense forest follows the river inland, while the exposed rocks in the foreground reveal the rugged character of the Strandzha coastline.
