About this photograph

Evening light reaches Trigrad as the village follows the narrow valley between the forested slopes of the Western Rhodopes. Red-tiled roofs gather around the winding road, while scattered houses continue farther into the mountains. Sunlit clearings, deep shadows and heavy clouds reveal the changing character of the landscape at the end of the day.
