About this photograph

Vacha Reservoir winds through the green hills of the Western Rhodopes, following the natural curves of the mountain valley. Forested slopes descend steeply toward the deep blue water, while a narrow road traces the shoreline and disappears between the hills. Large white clouds fill the summer sky, adding depth and scale to the wide mountain panorama.
