About this photograph

There are places on Vitosha where autumn is felt in every detail — in the damp stones, the deep green moss and the first warm colors appearing between the trees. The stream cuts through the forest with surprising energy, while the sunlight breaking through the canopy turns small parts of the scene almost luminous. It is this contrast between moving water, dark rocks and autumn light that made me stop here and photograph it.
