About this photograph

A mountain road curves through the autumn forest of Vitosha, almost disappearing beneath the dense canopy. Seen directly from above, the sharp bend divides the trees into a mosaic of green, yellow, orange and copper, while the passing cars reveal the scale of the landscape. The photograph brings together the clear geometry of the road and the irregular patterns of the changing forest.
