About this photograph

I photographed Lagera Lake in a quiet moment, when its dark, almost still water reflected the clouds and the surrounding spruce forest. The patches of fresh greenery breaking through the surface give the lake its distinctive shape and make the landscape feel almost untouched. Lagera lies near the better-known Smolyan Lakes, but away from their most frequently visited trail. This makes it one of the quieter and less familiar places in this part of the Rhodope Mountains.
