Fireworks burst above the illuminated Tsarevets Fortress, filling the night sky over Veliko Tarnovo with trails of white light. The fortress walls follow the wooded ridge, while the houses, bridges and winding roads below glow along the Yantra River valley. The long exposure brings together the movement of the fireworks, the city lights and the historic silhouette of the old capital in a single panoramic scene.
