About this photograph

I photographed Seljalandsfoss as the sun appeared above the surrounding cliffs and shone directly through the fine spray. The strong backlight separated the falling water into narrow streams and spread long rays across the grassy slopes. From this viewpoint, the river leads towards the waterfall and the dark recess behind it, where a path allows visitors to walk behind the cascade.
