About this photograph

I photographed Skógafoss from the open ground in front of the waterfall, where its entire 60-metre drop fills the view between the moss-covered cliffs. The sun was behind me, and the fine spray rising from the base formed a bright rainbow across the falling water. From this distance, the viewpoint and the people standing above the waterfall also give a sense of its impressive scale.
