At the Foot of Goritsa Waterfall

I photographed Goritsa Waterfall from near its base, where the falling water disappears behind the large moss-covered rocks before continuing down the river. The damp cliffs, drifting spray and soft light gave this part of the gorge a completely different atmosphere from the view on the official trail. This viewpoint lies outside the marked route to the observation platform and should be seen as a photographic perspective rather than a suggested way to reach the waterfall. Visitors should follow the signs and respect the fences and access restrictions in the water catchment area.
