About this photograph

I photographed this view from the high ground at Kaleto on an early June morning. Thick fog had settled over Smolyan and the lower valleys, leaving only parts of the town visible beneath the rocky ridges. The rising sun had already reached the cliffs and trees around me, but the landscape below was still waking beneath the fog. From above, the mountain ridges appeared one behind another, separated by long white bands that followed the shape of the valleys.
