About this photograph

I photographed this sunrise among the famous cypresses near San Quirico d’Orcia. This is the higher of the two cypress groups, where the trees form two semicircles on either side of a white gravel road. From this position I used the road as the main line through the frame, while the first sunlight illuminated the fields of Val d’Orcia.
