About this photograph

For this closer view, I focused on the Vitaleta Chapel and the cypress trees that frame its simple stone façade. The rising sun came from the side, casting long shadows across the field and bringing out the warm colours of the grass. The nearby farmhouse completes one of the most recognisable rural scenes in Val d’Orcia.
