Poppies Below the Vitaleta Chapel

For this vertical composition, I used the red poppies and yellow wildflowers beside the road as the foreground. Beyond them, the green hills lead the eye towards the distant Vitaleta Chapel, standing on its familiar ridge in the first light of the day. It is a quieter view of the same Tuscan sunrise, with the spring flowers becoming an important part of the landscape.
