About this photograph

Dalvík is a small fishing town on the western shore of Eyjafjörður in North Iceland. I photographed the boats gathered in its working harbour on a calm and clear day. The still water reflected the boats, clouds and surrounding mountains, bringing together the two sides of the town—its close connection to the sea and its dramatic northern landscape.
