About this photograph

This second view of Stapafell was photographed from the small harbour at Arnarstapi. Here the calm coastal water and dark volcanic rocks lead towards the solitary white house, while the mountain rises directly behind it. Compared with the reflected view, this frame shows more clearly how closely the village, the rugged Atlantic coast and the volcanic landscape are connected.
