About this photograph

I photographed Stapafell from the edge of a small pond in Arnarstapi. There was almost no wind, and the still water reflected the mountain so clearly that its distinctive triangular shape appeared complete in the frame. The scattered houses at its foot give a sense of the scale of this 526-metre volcanic peak, which rises directly above the village on the Snæfellsnes Peninsula.
