About this photograph

Before continuing towards Stuðlagil Canyon, I stopped at Stuðlafoss, a waterfall set into a wall of tall basalt columns. I chose a vertical composition to follow the water from the main drop all the way down through the dark rocks in the foreground. The contrast between the white current and the almost geometric lines of the basalt was what first caught my attention here.
