About this photograph

I photographed this view of Podere Baccoleno while the sun was still low above the hills of Crete Senesi. The warm light softened the distant landscape, while the cypress trees cast long, evenly spaced shadows across the fields. From this angle, the familiar road becomes a dark line winding naturally through the folds of the Tuscan countryside towards the farmhouse.
